It has been a few years since I've been to the Glen Twin Drive-In, so it is possible that things have changed a bit.  That being said, I'll give my impression from my last visit.  Having grown up going to the drive in movies, the experience holds a special place in my heart.  Most of the drive in theaters near my home have closed over the years, so it is really nice to see a drive in theater doing well.  The Glen has two screens, and shows two features on each screen every night.  As with most drive in theaters, the price is right.  Add to that the fact that you can bring in a cooler of drinks, and even bring in your own food, and it all adds up to an inexpensive night out.  The one negative thing I can think of is that the first movie almost always starts before it is really dark out, and it is therefore pretty hard to see the screen during most of the first movie.  By the time the second film starts it is plenty dark though.  The Glen Drive-In is a great way to spend an evening, and is plenty of fun for the entire family.  The last time I visited, there were a couple of the old fashioned car speakers still in service.  The soundtrack is broadcast on FM stereo, so you can play it on the car radio.  Needless to say, the sound quality is a lot better on the car stereo than it could ever be on the old fashioned speaker box.  They are open weekends only beginning May 7th, and every night during the summer.  Give the Glen Drive-In a visit, you won't regret it!  The Glen is located on Rt. 9 in Glens Falls, just South of the Great Escape.  Call them at (518) 792-0023.
