Spring is in the air!  As the winter winds down, the Lake George region starts gearing up for the summer tourist season.  Spring is a good time for that quiet weekend without the kids.  The pace is a bit slower, the tourist season doesn't really get going until school lets out in June.  The shops and attractions start opening up in early may.  The Great Escape will open for the season this year on Friday, May 25th.  This is the first time I can remember the parks opening day being a Friday.  In addition, it is opening about two weeks later in the season than it has for the past couple of years.
